Well, December 15th we had the first production meeting for the spring 2015 show, The Drowsy Chaperone!
Director Moira Forester, David Kidd the vocal music director, and the choreographer Amy-Lyn Van Londersele (that's me!) got together to hash out the details of the gruelling schedule that awaits those who try out for this fantastic comedy musical!
We were joined too by Steve Forrester the set designer, as well as Brittany Ollerenshaw who is making a documentary about all the work that goes into a stage musical. Local photographer Greg Pinchin was with us also (hence the beautiful photos from our meeting!), as he will be assisting Brittany by taking photos of the process of putting on a show. If you want to help fund this documentary project (before December 26th), click here.
Anywho, we spent about 2 hours working some of the kinks out of the schedule, drinking coffee, and eating treats. Then Moira and I divided up the dance numbers as duel-choreographers!
There are some fantastic singing numbers, some great dances (both large and small), and the story is truly a one-of-a-kind musical idea!

It is honestly one of the funnier shows you'll ever see, pinky swear! :)
